Validate the type of the instance variables. If the argument is @on
or
@default,
validation continues recursively over instance variables that contain
objects. This method is protected against loops in the data-structures.
Normally invoked through the Prolog predicate checkpce/0.
Each reported inconsistency is followed by the path from the checked
object to the object that holds the illegal value. Each step of this
path is printed as the object followed by the slot we descend in. The
slot is printed as object<-name for an
instance variable, as [index] for an element of a chain or
vector and as {key} for a key of a hash table. For example:
